Working in a startup for 14 years has a certain way of kicking you in the head many times a day that either kills you or makes you far stronger.

All advice is just someone telling you what they did. I've made every single mistake in the book. And then I got to the end of the book and I started inventing new mistakes.

Life is suffering. So figure out something worth suffering for. You're going to suffer either way. And that's another thing I think people don't realize, is there isn't really a path that is easy that I've ever found.

Life is too short to make all our mistakes ourselves. So we should be learning from other people's failures as well.

The biggest curse of successful parents is that that's the only gift they'll not be able to give to their kids, the gift of struggle that they had.
